The students and staff assemble at the assembly ground at exactly 8:10 am for the morning assembly. The assembly is usually presided over by the principal, with assistance from some appointed teachers and students. At the assembly ground, one or two prayer worship song is raised by the appointed staff or student. Thereafter, the day’s activities are committed into the hands of God, and then the principal delivers the sermon, emphasizing on how to live a positive and worthy life. After the sermon, there is a concluding prayer, followed by the Lord’s prayer and the grace. The usual national anthem and pledge is recited by the students. After this, the principal delivers one or two announcements and dismisses the students and staff to their various classes to start the day. The morning assembly usually last for about 20 minutes.
The academic activities commence at 8:30 am and end at 3:00pm for our secondary school students, and 4:15pm for our A-level students. There are short-break of 15 minutes and lunch break of 45 minutes in-between. A normal class for the secondary school students lasts for about 45 minutes, whereas the A-level students’ class could last for up to 3 hours!
The day’s activities are brought to an end at either 3:00pm for our secondary school students, or 4:15 pm for our A-level students. Academic and non-academic staff close work at 4:30pm. The school gate remains accessible to parents to pick up their wards until 5:00pm. Parents who have delegated someone else to pick up their wards must ensure such person are with an ID for safety and security reasons. A telephone call would in such cases be made to the parents concerned to ascertain that they have authorised someone to pick up their wards. Where this is not established, then we would be unable to release the students to the delegated individual.
We are open on Saturday between the hours of 9:00am to 12 noon to attend to parents and prospective students. Extra classes are also organised for our A-level students on weekends to enable them meet up the syllabus before they sit for their exams in October/November.
